It's hard to get to know me because I rarely talk about anything personal, even when someone has known me for a long time. I'm debilitatingly shy, which somehow comes across as being arrogant. I hate the process of getting to know someone and if I go out of my way to talk to someone at all, it's because I'm genuinely trying to make friends.

I drink a lot but don't think of myself as an alcoholic, not when liquor connoisseur sounds so dignified.

I have reached a point in my life wherein I am more excited about the release of a new video game than I am of buying a fashionable article of clothing. There's nothing about this that I would change.

I can read for 24 straight hours and only really feel the passing of time when I get a cigarette craving. I am terrified by people who don't understand the concept of reading a book for pleasure, who see it as something done only for homework. I see these people at work every day, and knowing they are the future of America unsettles me.

I hope to one day possess the ability to make small talk with someone I find amazingly attractive, instead of turning into a babbling and incoherent mess. I also hope to lose my spectacular talent for blurting out dangerously honest things, especially when police officers are involved.
